The Caygill Christmas cracker bike ride!!

October 29th, 2024

Yes it's that time of year again to where I talk about this and this year I wanted to post it even earlier than I have before so that you can all organise things around your families, well in advance and hopefully i get a record breaking number of cyclists attending.
On the 8th of December we'll all meet outside of our shop at 10am and ride to Thirsk. The overall distance is around 55 miles and is lumpy in the middle. It's a very scenic route of mine I've enjoyed so many times and I'm very excited to share it with you all.
All are welcome, all I stipulate is that you are capable of riding this distance. There will be a brief stop at Thirsk for coffee and cake/sandwich and then we'll ride back to Richmond to where everyone can get home to shower and change before we all meet at Richmond golf club for food and entertainment. Food will be served at 5pm, so get there before then so you can enjoy a drink and chat about the ride. From 6pm my good friend Dan Glendinning will be our DJ for the night, making sure we all get up dancing!
Penleys of Richmond will be serving our food, please see the menu below for your choice of food. They also offer two veggie options which are:
Spinach, mushroom and roasted pepper tagliatelle with fresh parmisan.
Or, homemade vegetable nut roast with a tomatoe and coriander sauce.
The price for two courses with entertainment is £31
The price for three courses with entertainment is £37
The deadline date for entries is the 31st of October.
Please call into our shop with the correct amount of cash before the deadline date and let us know your food choice then.
Riders are welcome to bring their partners on the evening, please let us know their food choice when you call in to pay.
I look forward to seeing you all on the day, for what I'm sure will be a fantastic day and night.
