Charity event

July 15th, 2023

It was great to meet these lovely people today and to help them back on the road so they could carry on with their charity ride that means so much to them. Please take time to read their message to me and their very touching story. You can also sponsor them here:

Hi Scott and Team at Arthur Caygill
Thanks for the help for the boys today. I am Mims one of the support drivers this weekend and up here Rebecca, who I am is James’s mum and my friend and colleague.
Rebecca’s message:
My husband Charles Clark died of bowel cancer in 2019; after a traumatic 4 years living with it; as well as being a well known auctioneer and land agent he was chair of somerset county cricket when he died (his massive passion) James was key in his care and support.
Our son,James began a Cycle 4 Charles - on Monday July 10 th cycling
between the 18 county cricket grounds
of the uk in 18 days; 1200 miles. they have just completed the leg from Old Trafford and on the way to Durham.
He’s not a regular cyclist so this is definitely a challenge ! Been training hard.m- he is doing this with his friends James and Charlie.
I’m driving the support van this weekend on the northern end leg.
Wonderful if you might support/ share the link:
Fund raising for Cancer UK (esp metastasis which is not well known - ie how a cancer moves around the body as it did with Charles) also raising funds for Chance to Shine - cricket charity which is getting cricket into wide range of communities/ focus on diversity / disability etc.
All support hugely welcome!
Thank you. For getting us such great help with the bikes today and we know that it will have made all the difference with safety and their experience.
