Matty Cole

October 7th, 2017

Sponsored by Arthur Caygill Cycles Matty Cole 12 years old has had an amazing start to his cycling career in 2017.
Through out his triathlon season, consisting of 10 multi sport events, he has often finished in a top 5 position with the fastest bike split on every event.
Throughout the year he's taken part in the weekly TT with Richmond cycling club, improving times week on week and achieving a new PB of 24:13.
He's built strength early in the season taking part in the Croft Circuit races and weekly rides out with his dad testing his endurance.
He finished 5th in the North East Triathlon Grand Prix, his greatest achievement was being 1st fastest qualifier in the region and the end of the season saw him compete at the national TT final in Peterborough finishing as the 2nd fastest twelve year old in the country. This is a massive achievement particularly as he had a major accident requiring surgery only a few months before! He's looking forward to the 2018 season which I'm sure will be fruitful particularly with the amazing support he has from us all at Arthur Caygill Cycles, Richmond Triathlon Club and his family and friends.

The very best of luck for 2018 Matty!!
